Tech Events in Europe for Developers

The number of Tech Events can be overwhelming and seems to double each year. You might ask yourself if they are worth the time and energy - and unfortunately, not all of them are. That's why hy picked the most delicious cherries (assuming you like cherries?) from the Tech-tree for you. We know: summer has been good to us and while tanning productively you might have missed a few cool events. But don’t worry, 2018 is not over yet.

So here are our top tech events of the next months!

AllDayDevOps | online | 17 October 2018

This free online event features 123 thirty minute talks. It successfully connects the most successful DevOps of our time and addresses essential topics and problems of the industry like cultural transformation, CI/CD, Cloud-Nation and Site Reliability Engineering. Cool: Live Q&A on Slack to every session. You don’t even need to leave the bed!

Future Now | Bratislava | 19-24 October 2018

Known for the StartupAwardsSK, a multi-day festival and the most prominent tech conference of Slovakia, Future Now connects designer, entrepreneurs, investors, and policy-makers to present the newest trends in tech and business. Organized by HubHub and Neulogy, you’ll definitely get inspired to become an entrepreneur shouldn’t you already be one.

This is where the big guys meet. With speakers like Brad Smith (President of the Microsoft Corporation), Ev Williams (CEO of Medium), Ronaldinho (FC Barcelona) and many others, this event is a big chance for start-ups. Raise awareness for your brand, get funding, do some networking and maybe even recruiting new tech talent.

Open Stack Summit | Berlin | 13-15 November 2018

With around 200 workshops and sessions on Container Infrastructure, CI/CD, Telecom + NFV, Public Cloud, Private & Hybrid Cloud, this event allows you to educate yourself on Open Stack and lets you immerse into the community.

European Women in Tech | Amsterdam | 28-29 November 2018

After our last post

We do have something for our ladies of course. But also for industry leaders who want to recruit talented women and want to get to know how to keep them and bring them forward.

It is the perfect event for new inspirations, ideas, and connections. Companies like Dell, Asos, Zalando, Google, and J.P. Morgan will be there - you too?

Hyperledger Global Forum | Basel | 12-15 December 2018

As the Open Source Summit the Hyperledger Global Forum is also an event organized by the Linux Foundation. You’ll get a lot of amazing things for the ears in the first two days. The following days offer practical tutorials and workshops with a hackathon at the end of the week as a cherry on top.

hy’s tip: If possible, plan your attendance way in advance. That way you get the early bird price, you can gather a few friends or your team to go with and can plan a strategy to network like crazy.

You might be able to open doors that you didn’t know even existed.
